Dear Family, Friends, and Interested Participants in what God is Doing:

First of all, let us apologize for our lack of updates to this website on what's been happening. Pastor Alfonso has been completely overwhelmed trying to stay on top of everything and to provide as much assistance to our people on the ground in Haiti as well as meet with all concerned parties to raise funds to take care of our people. Also, things were initially so uncertain and unstable, that accurate and timely updates regarding our remote villages were simply impossible. Our mission was neither prepared nor funded (USA stateside nor Haiti) for a disaster of this magnitude. It has taken us some time to get our footing and find our bearings. While we're certainly a long way from out of the woods, we can share what's going on, what we're doing in US and Haiti, and how you can continue to assist in this time of great need. Pastor Alfonso has been in constant communication with Pastor Pierre in Haiti over the past few days, so we feel confident in what we have to share in this update.

Secondly, we offer a Huge "THANK YOU" to all of you who have not only been patiently awaiting forthcoming updates, but who have contributed financially to this cause to allow us to do anything. During these extremely difficult economic times here in the US, like so many other ministries and charities, Remember The Poor International, Inc. (RTPI) is challenged to handle the month-to-month responsibilities of educating and feeding approximately 400 kids in this remote village of this impoverished. Everything being done in this village is due to the generosity of people like you.
